Day 4 in Japan

I was a bit lazy today, slept in and then went to a Sushi shop about a 10 min walk from the apartment.

Day 3 Japan

We got up early to do some exploring. We headed down to Asakusa to check out a temple where I ran into a little bad luck, but easily remedied. We then headed back to Akihabara for lunch and the sites.

Day 2 in Japan

It was my birthday yesterday. I slept through most of it. I was still jet lagged and had a bit to drink the night before. Once my buddy got off work we headed out to Akihabara a.k.a electric town. It was getting late so not much was open, but we had a few beers and some good tempura.

I'll keep this short cause i'm so tired. I had my frist beer out of a vending machine last night, sweeeeeet!

T-minus 2 days and counting

I'm finishing up getting things in order for my trip. I'll probably start packing tonight. My buddies not going to be able to pick me up from the airport, but I think I'll manage. I can't wait. I'll post pic when I have time, so check in often for the next two weeks to get updates on how my trip is going.

iphone

I broke down and bought an iPhone. Its not the end all be all of phone like most people would have you think, but it is very capable of doing quite a bit. It will be handy over in Japan. I'll have GPS tracking so I don't get lost and I downloaded a few applications like English Japanese dictionary and useful phrases. I also went bowling this weekend for the first time in about 15 years. The kids had a slipp'n slide this weekend so I have to take some pic and vid. My fantasy football team is looking good. I have five more days until I go on vacation. Things are looking pretty good right now.

Another weekend bites the dust

The weekends are never long enough. I saw "Bangkok Dangerous", i would netflix it, but a still a decent flick. This weekend I payed my first visit to the Cheese cake Factory. I couldn't believe how big the menu was. I also ate at the Colorado fondue, which I could have done myself at home for 1/5 of the price, but still delicious. I'm not doing to bad in Fantasy football this week, even thought every player I benched is doing better than there replacements. Tonight's the deciding factor. I'm playing my brother and he has McNabb for the Eagles left to play. I have a good lead, but not impossible for McNabb. The kids where awesome as ever when I picked them up from school today. I'm trying to enjoy these last days of summer as best I can.

Little stinkers

Got to love these kids. I picked them up from school Monday. There backpacks are as big as they are, and of coarse they insist on wearing them. I'll try to get video the next time I pick them up. Its so awesome when the see me and come running yelling "Uncle.....".

Cold dead hands!

It had been a while sense I was last shooting. I believe it was November 07' in Mississippi. I took a friend that had never held a firearm before, she really seemed to like it. I'm surprised because she's somewhat of a liberal too. I really wish I had an out door range or someones property to go shooting at. Its always fun to shoot more than just paper targets. I think I made a post of the last time I was shooting, you'd have to click back to 07' to see.
